I remember about 4 years ago, when the government-run liquor stores in Ontario figured out that women were making most of the purchasing decisions for alcoholic beverages. They completely redesigned every store and all of their branding to appeal exclusively to women.
The results were very profitable and I was impressed with the outcome and the insight that led to it.
